Thursday Night Kick-Off

We3 – 7 pm to 8:30 pm, Bonsai Room

SPECIAL ONE-NIGHT APPEARANCE!  Kick off the festival weekend Thursday night, March 6, 2014, with Jazz Bash’s hit trio We3, featuring favorites Bob Draga, Jeff Barnhart and Danny Coots. Don’t miss We3′s one and only festival appearance at Portola Hotel & Spa’s Bonsai Room. Admission is $25 per person. Seating is limited.

After an inspiring dose of We3, stroll next door to the De Anza Ballroom and dance the rest of the evening to the fabulous ClickTrax Jazz Orchestra (see below.) Just $10 per person with your We3 ticket for the Dance Party. Tickets may be purchased at the door, or you may order online.

Swing Dance Party – 7:30 pm to 11 pm, De Anza Ballroom

Jazz Bash’s popular Thursday Night Swing Dance Party welcomes Monterey’s premier swing big band ClickTrax Jazz Orchestra. Enjoy dancing to this sixteen-piece band in the De Anza Ballroom at the Portola Hotel & Spa. Admission is $20 per person. Tickets may be purchased at the door or you may order online.

Dance Lessons

Jazz Bash is happy to bring back free dance lessons! Dave and Linda Ensign, experienced dance teachers of such classics as the Lindy Hop, jitterbug, and Charleston, will be offering lessons the first set of each day. Watch for Dave and Linda throughout the festival in their wonderful period costumes, gracing the dance floors, and adding color and zest to your festival experience!
